About the Co-Op

At the heart of our work, we hold as sacred the connection that exists between all people and all of creation. In 2015, drawing on thousands of years of tradition in the Catholic Church and a variety of other faith traditions, Pope Francis penned Laudato Si. Calling on voices from the recent past and those of antiquity, the Pope calls “all people of goodwill” to recognize the existence of an integral ecology; an ecology that shows great care toward the earth and all living beings who call her home. It is a call to recognize as sacred the joy of a child, the buzzing of honeybees, the gift of community. It is also a call to be moved to action by clear-cut forests, the effects of red-lining, the un-just incarceration of millions, and other issues that disregard the dignity of all creation.

Our Mission

The Cooperative for Integral Ecology is here to accompany individuals and faith communities as they live into integral ecology through action and contemplation.
